Our Health Tech Forum returns on 28 February.  Our speakers are Prof. Ran Balicer who is Head of Innovation Division, Clalit Health Services, and Founding Director of the Clalit Research Institute and Eyal Gura, Co-Founder and Chairman of Zebra Medical Vision. 

Prof. Ran Balicer will provide an overview of the Israeli healthcare system, the role of Clalit’s HMO, and how it innovates and collaborates with innovators to address its current and future challenges

Eyal Gura, Co-Founder and Chairman of Zebra Medical Vision will discuss ‘how AI reduces NHS costs’ using a case study of their pilot in Oxford.


Prof. Ran Balicer
Ran Balicer, MD, PhD, MPH is Head of the Innovation Division at Clalit – Israel’s largest healthcare organization that cares for over half of the Israeli population and the second largest HMO in the world.He also serves as Founding Director of the Clalit Research Institute, the WHO Collaborating Center on Non-Communicable Diseases Research, Prevention and Control. In these roles, he is responsible for strategic planning of data and technology driven novel organization-wide interventions for improving healthcare quality, reducing disparities and increasing care effectiveness.

Zebra Medical Vision
Zebra Medical Vision is building a medical imaging insight platform using immense clinical data sets and computational resources. Zebra combines its vast imaging database with deep-learning techniques to build algorithms that will automatically detect and diagnose medical conditions, helping hundreds of millions of people receive fast, accurate imaging diagnoses.Zebra Medical Vision was named a cool vendor in “Cool Vendors in AI for Healthcare, 2017” by the Gartner Research Group and has raised over $50m in funding.
